This month members of the Creating your Future LLC had a wonderful chance to join forces with the Writing and Visual Cultures LLC to volunteer at the Urban Ecology Center. The Urban Ecology Center a local community center very close to Riverview Residence Hall.
It was nice to give our time close to home. Students from the LLCs were able to learn more about the wonderful resources that the Urban Ecology Center has to offer and learned about environmental sustainability.
We had tons of fun picking up trash in a local park and helping stuff letters for annual fundraiser for the community center. We look forward to volunteering at the Urban Ecology Center again in the future.
