The Lorax: What's that all about?

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all exited about this semester and have had a great start. To start of the semester, the Sustainability & Bio-Math LLC as well as the Lab Rats LLC had a great event called “The Lorax: What’s that all about?” As the name points out, we watched “The Lorax” by Dr. Seuss as part of an attempt to bring the issue of social responsibility up and since “The Lorax” is recognized as a fable concerning the negative impact of globalization to nature it only made sense to show it. Not only did students get a chance to get a break in their busy academics lives but they also had a chance to discuss different social and environmental issues that were addressed in the movie with the rest of our community members while having some healthy and not so healthy snacks

Overall, the event was a total success and everyone that came out had a great time. As always, once the event is officially over the fun continuous as we always try to stick around a bit longer and make those important connections with other residents on the floor that really just better the whole UW-Milwaukee experience.
