Have you heard of SSA? SSA is The Student Signing
Association here on campus. SSA was
established in 2004 and benefits anyone on campus who is a member of the Deaf,
hard-of-hearing, and ASL community at UWM.
Attend any of the events hosted by SSA to get more involved and help
improve your ASL skills.
SSA hosts different events each month. There is typically one or two event a month. At SSA events you can enjoy games and
entertainment in ASL. (Don’t worry, there are always interpreters! If you’re new to the ASL community, you can
still attend events and enjoy the experience!)
