Spring Semester in the Social Welfare LLC!

Well, it's been a snowy and cold start to the spring semester, but with classes and activities in full swing, everyone in the Social Welfare LLC is staying busy! During winter welcome, residents had the opportunity to attend many different events like a Panther's Basketball game, comedians, the SHAC Snow Ball, and much more!

Once the winter festivities settled down, community events began! The Social Welfare LLC teamed up with the Future Fraternity and Sorority Leaders LLC to make valentines for veterans! We ate cookies, made valentines, and had an all around great evening! This not only was a wonderful way for residents to get involved in doing something bigger for the community, it was a great chance for residents from different communities to get to know each other better!

The finished product. Our friends at the MAVRC will be delivering
them to veterans on campus or those being treated at the VA hospital!
We have big plans in the works for the rest of the semester here in the Social Welfare LLC. From a week long Candy Land Extravaganza and doing some exploring in Milwaukee, to planning a trip to Chicago. We are off to a great start! Stay tuned for all the fun yet to come!

Best,

RA Shelbey
