Edible Architecture

10 minutes, 10 raw spaghetti noodles, and a strip of tape. As the timer started, members of the Architecture LLC went to work constructing their spaghetti towers Tuesday night. Although it may be their first and last edible architecture model, it was just one of many models they'll produce over the next 3 and 1/2 years. Organized by their RA, Brenna Nelson, the event gave the students practice in modeling techniques and complimented the architecture skills they are already developing in both Miranda Mote's and Giuseppe Mazzone's LLC sections.

Ok, so nobody magically turned 10 spaghetti noodles into the Eiffel Tower, but overall the LLC students produced some pretty impressive noodle towers. When they weren't occasionally snacking on the noodles, the students showed both collaboration and design vision while they worked within their groups of two: 2 skills that will be essential to their success in the architecture program.
