Hey everyone! Meet
Dina Wolf:
Dina works at UWM as a K-16 Outreach Coordinator for the
Institute of World Affairs in the Center for International Education
(CIE). She has collaborated with
multiple units and departments on campus and in the community in developing
globally focused workshops, trainings, and conferences for students within
various age groups. Dina helps with the
Wisconsin High School Model United Nations (WHSMUN), where 700 students from
Southeast Wisconsin participate in a two-day simulated United Nations
conference.
Dina has over 20 years of experience working with youth and
young adults in developing activities and opportunities for them to experience
and deepen their understanding of a wide range of global issues, regions, and
cultures. Dina has majored in Global
Studies with an emphasis on Spanish Languages and Culture and Southeast Asian
Studies. Dina also participated in a
young professional vocational exchange through Rotary International’s Group
Study Exchange program for five weeks in Daegu, South Korea.
Dina will be able to help you by offering opportunities to
volunteer as facilitators for the workshops and conferences that are offered in
high school and middle school students on campus. Dina also works with university students that
are interested in being an intern for the Institute of World Affairs. Dina also has research skills in helping
students use their abilities and values in writing
cover letters, developing a resume, scholarship applications, and/or seeking
out global opportunities.
Dina is a wonderful resource for the Global Villagers.
