Welcome back all!
This month I wanted to remind everyone of the numerous housing fairs going on in and around campus. I hope everyone returns for another great year in the resident halls and hopefully in an LLC (yeah), but I get the feeling that many residents are anxious to move on and get a place by themselves or with roommates.
This is a big deal, especially if you've never looked for a house before. Good thing UWM has a bountiful bevvy
of cheap clean and safe housing opportunities that are close to campus.
Things to consider:
*Chosing roommate
*budgeting
*location
*transportation to school
These are just a few things that will come up among many concerns when you start to look for a place, which should be soon. Most students sign contracts in APRIL for the fall months.
Good thing for you all, the Helping Helthcare Hands in Medical Care LLC is putting on an event to ease your troubled little minds!
This month and next month, we will be hosting members from the very helpful housing department (found at http://www.aux.uwm.edu/nho/ ) to teach the residents all about responsible renting. We will be doing this at different times in Sandburg, so get in touch with your respective RAs about when and where.
Our event will coincide with the Preferred Tenant Program (http://www.aux.uwm.edu/nho/pages/posts/the-preferred-tenant-program-17.php)
we will also have pizza and snacks for you all as you get your learn on!
