Deaf Coffee Chat

If you’re looking for a Deaf event, or a great place to practice signing, check out Deaf Coffee Chat!  This event is held every 2nd and 4th Friday of each month at Starbucks 544 East Ogden Ave right here in Milwaukee.  ASL students of all levels, interpreters, student interpreters, and Deaf individuals come together to have a place to communicate using ASL.  Don’t worry if you’re not confident in your skills yet because others will help you out!  Deaf Coffee Chat takes over this Starbucks.  There are people everywhere signing, so there is always someone to talk to.  Make sure you introduce yourself to someone new.  You will be surprised how much you can learn from others!

Take the 30 bus from Sandburg and it will take you right there!  Just don’t forget your UPASS!

Check out the Facebook group Milwaukee Deaf Coffee Group for updates.  Go grab a coffee, sit down, and start chatting.  It’s great to get off campus, explore Milwaukee, and practice those signing skills!  So go join the fun!
