Hello Members of the Arch 2 LLC,
Welcome
back everyone for the Spring 2017 semester! I hope you all had a wonderful
winter break having fun and not having to worry about projects! But now is the
time to get back into the swing of things. Everyone is settling into their
studios and projects are now rolling. If you need help generating ideas or want
constructive criticism on a project, do not be afraid to ask myself or any of
your peers.
With
the beginning of the semester, we will be starting up with new events for the
community and the LLC. For the overall community, some of the events the East
Tower RA staff will be putting on include having Neighborhood Housing coming in
to talk about off-campus housing, Adulting 101, Life-Size Clue, Privilege
Wingo, and Chug Chug Golf. I am planning a 16th floor game night
with Monopoly for in the near future. For the Arch 2 LLC, I am going to be
having Financial Aid coming to talk about ways to finance architecture and
working with the Arch 1 LLC for them to come check out our community.
For
people who are interested in Frank Lloyd Wright and want to study his work
while away from SARUP, Professor Mark Keane is holding a meeting Monday,
February 6 at 1 PM in SARUP Room 295 to discuss his 3-week trip to Taliesin,
Frank Lloyd Wright’s studio and home. The trip is for a 3-credit course and
costs about $1,300. It would be from May 18 until June 6. 8 people are selected
to go so if you are interested, attend the meeting. This year is especially
important as it is Wright’s 150th birthday!

I hope
that everyone continues to do well in studio. Good luck on your first few
projects and may warm weather come soon!
Sincerely yours,
RA Zach
