It’s hard to believe that first semester is at its end. It was an eventful semester in which we all
talked, laughed and made memories. The events
that the transfer floor did this semester were an outdoor movie, a trip to the
mall, and game night. The game night was
the most successful event by far. It not
only allowed students a chance to get to know those residents then didn’t
already know, but a fun way to do so.
I feel that this semester our LLC achieved creating a
wonderful environment where people can interact openly and feel comfortable
with one another. It will be exciting to
see what happens next semester. Also the
students are not afraid to help others whether it is with homework or coming up
with ideas for the next door tags.
What I’ve learned from my floor is that it is the residents
that make the community while the RA helps to foster that growth. It comes down to the residents ultimately
making the choice to come to events, hang out in the lounge, or introducing
themselves people they don’t know in order to get to know them. Also I’ve learned that my residents enjoy chiming
in during tour groups!
I think that residents were able to get out of this LLC is a
group of people who can relate with one another, fond memories and hopefully
friends for live! Some of our favorite
moments this semester are simply sitting in the lounge talking and watching
T.V.
