A peek inside the first month in the Architecture LLC

This past month has been a fun and busy one for the members of the Architecture LLC! We started out with them taking a tour of the MKE Riverwalk. We walked the entire Riverwalk (which took 2.5 hours) and saw different architecture around Milwaukee. We then attended the AIAS welcome week. The AIAS is a great organization for aspiring architectural professionals. I am excited that a lot of Architecture LLC members have signed up for this organization! If you are interested in learning more about AIAS you can look on aias.org. At the end of the month we had our "Get Baked" event which helped Freedom by Design raise money for their organization which helps the physically handicap make adjustments to their home.

The Architecture LLC class also took a trip to Chicago to tour different firms. The students had a lot of fun and learned a lot since most of the Architecture LLC members never stepped foot into a real life architecture firm. The other section has been learning all about the history of architecture through the years. This has been accompanied by them learning how to draw plans, sections, elevations, along with other architectural drawings.

This past month has been jam-packed so far and we are looking forward to what October has to offer! Also congrats to David Katz who is the new Freshman Class Representative for AIAS!
