As the subject line reads, myself, RA Hannah, and allllllll of the amazing Honors House residents survived the first week of the semester! All of the students I talked to said they are loving UWM so far and that all of their classes went well, especially their Honors courses. Needless to say, I'm a happy mentor!
With week two rolling on in, we are looking forward to the amazing Honors College Student Association Welcome Back Pizza Party on Wednesday. Not only will there be pizza and soda but the event is being held in our newly acquired (and incredibly beautiful anndddd pictured below) Honors House building, located conveniently across from the Sandburg Res Halls where the Honors House LLC is located. We really couldn't ask for a better event to help us continue our great semester. There will be students as well as faculty as this pizza party so it should be a great way for the LLC students to get to know some fellow Honors kiddos.
Outside of that event, RA Hannah and I are working feverishly on some upcoming semester events which may or may not include super cool crafts, movie nights, and some guest appearances by some great Honors College faculty.
With all of this going on, I think it is safe to say that the Honors House has a fantastic semester to look forward.
